Little Love Notes

Here I have used a couple of the Very Vanilla Love Notes to make quick 'Thank You' cards.
The Love Notes come in packs of 20 cards & 20 envelopes from Stampin' Up! Half are Whisper White, and the other half Very Vanilla.
They are available in the Catalogue on Page 131 (#111861) for just $13.50 a pack.

Project Recipe:
Stamp Set: Echoes of Kindness (hostess set), Trendy Trees (sentiment)
Cardstock: Very Vanilla Love Note & Envelope
Ink: Stazon Black Ink, Earth Element Markers, Old Olive
Other: Sponge

These make great gifts on their own, or made up for your giftee to have an already-made stash of little cards.

Happy creating!

Thinking of Christmas

Well, we are almost in the last quarter of the year. Maybe it's time to prepare for the coming Christmas (or catch up from the last if you're me!)...what better way than to get your scrapbooking pages ready to go, just waiting for the new 2009 Christmas photos to attach.

The Stampin' Up!'s Simply Scrappin Kits are GREAT for quick scrapbooking pages. Each contains 8 pieces textured 12x12 cardstock, 6 pages of double side paper, AND 6 sheets of die-cut stickers.

I recently held a class using the 'I Wish' Simply Scrappin Kit...the only extra accessories used were silver brads, and thin grosgrain ribbon to match. Quick, simple, great results.

Project Recipe:
I Wish Simply Scrappin Kit; real red grosgrain ribbon.

If you would like to order the 'I Wish' Simply Scrappin Kit, I will include, as a bonus for you, the 4 layouts used in our Christmas Scrapbooking Class, along with the extra brads & ribbon used for each page.

Happy preparing!
Anna :)

The Train is a Comin'.....

Here's another idea for the NEW Choo Choo stamp set from the Spring Mini Catalogue (which is packed with TERRIFIC products, by the way :)). This project has several of the great In Color colours used in it.

What a fun card for a little boy's birthday!

Project Recipe:
Stamp Set: Choo Choo
Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Glossy White
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango
Other: Real Red brads, Riding Hood Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon

Totally Awesome Tools

Here's one of 6 cards my monthly class busily created last night. We did a 'Male Card Stampastack' making 6 cards with matching envelopes, using 3 different designs.

Hubby saw one of the 'Tool' cards, and said, surprised 'Is that a shifter??!?!'. Uh huh!! (obviously not THIS card...we all know it's a saw :) ) Having 'real' stamps will certainly help my cause :)

We all agree that sometimes it's harder to make male cards, because there's the temptation to over-accessorise.

Male cards = simplicity. Clean, no clutter.

I offer all my classes as kits. If you would like a kit to make all 6 cards with envelopes, with full instructions, I have them available for $15 (excl P&H).

Project Recipe:
Stamp Set: Totally Tools
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black
Other: SU! Envelopes, crimper, silver brad

Happy simplicity!

Thoughts & Prayers

This stamp set (Thoughts & Prayers) is such a lovely set. It is versatile, yet can allow you to produce beautiful layouts with little effort. Here I've used the Stampin' Up! Markers on both the tree and branch stamps. I've also used Very Vanilla cardstock instead of Whisper White, so the result is perhaps not so 'bright' for want of a better word.

I haven't used any extra 'accessories'...I think sometimes a clean simple card says just as much as a well-adorned one.

Hope to show more 3D projects soon...I seem to be making a lot of sympathy and birthday cards at the moment.

Project Recipe:
Stamp Set: Thoughts & Prayers; God's Blessings (inside verse)
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Earth Element Markers

Happy crafting!!

Out of the Grey....

I like the simple, clean look of this card. I've cased it from somewhere, but can't remember where now, so cannot give the clever lady the credit. If that was you, let me know! :)

This uses the NEW Scallop Oval Punch (Spring Mini); the NEW Oval All stamp set (Spring Mini), and the NEW Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper (Spring Mini)

Project Recipe:
Stamp Set: Oval All
Cardstock: Glossy White, Basic Grey, Whisper White
Paper: Walk in the Park DS Paper
Other: 1 1/4" Square Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Retired Ribbon (suggested replacement: Whisper White OR Basic Grey Taffeta Ribbon)

If you want to place an order from the Mini or the main Catalogue, just email or phone me. Any orders placed before the 19th of this month will go in the draw for 1 of 6 product packs.

Gorgeous Giftwrapping

Ever been stuck for coordinating giftwrap ideas? Here's a simple idea which you can run with....Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series paper used as wrapping paper, then doubles as the embellishment! In this case, a paper bow which shows off both sides of the DS Paper.

The floral print paper is from the Simply Scrappin' Kit 'Petal Party', and the spot print is from a retired Simply Scrappin' Kit. Any of the Stampin' Up! DS Papers will look great!

To have the 'inside information' on instructions for the paper bow, click here for the great tutorial by Jessica Crawford on Splitcoast Stampers.

More later,
Happy creating!

Tree From The Forest

Here is a quick easy card made with the new Forest Friends stamp set from the Spring Mini Catalogue.

I have used the same tree stamp for a background in versamark, and used markers for the image on the Whisper White Card. The dry embossing around the tree and in the bottom right corner has been done with the Crop-A-Dile (what a cool tool!!!)

Project Recipe:

Stamp Set: Forest Friends

Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Old Olive

Ink: Versamark, Chocolate Chip & Old Olive Markers

Other: Baja Breeze ribbon, Chocolate Chip Ribbon, Crop-A-Dile
