Circle Circus Birthday Card

This stamp set doesn't see the light of day enough. It's so versatile for male and female cards, and embossing it in gold allows for an 'oriental' look.

Project Recipe:

Stamp Set: Circle Circus, Birthday Wish (Spring Mini)

Cardstock: Whisper White, Pacific Point

Inks: Basic Black, Pacific Point

Other: Black brads, Crimper

Happy creating!

Baby Baby

Here's a baby card I made recently for a swap. Obviously it's for a 'pink' baby, but can easily be changed for any other colour.

This uses mainly punches with a few accessories. Have I mentioned how much I like playing with punches?!? :)

Project Recipe:
Stamp: Best Yet
Card: Glossy White, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette DS Paper
Ink: Sahara Sand
Other: Whisper White grosgrain ribbon, soft subtles brads, Eyelet Border Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8” Circle Punch, ½ “ Circle Punch

For more information or to order the materials needed for this project, just phone or email.

Happy crafting!!

Snow Swirled

Here's another Christmas card idea. Quite easy to mass-produce as there is no cutting or layering. I have crimped the A5 card before folding it in half. Using the Snow Swirled set, I versamarked the background, and used the new White Stazon for the tree and sentiment. The embellishments are the thin white grosgrain ribbon & as many silver brads as you wish. The clear rhinestone brads would also look nice on this card.

Project Recipe:
Stamp Set: Snow Swirled
Ink: Versamark, White Stazon
Cardstock: Night of Navy
Other: Crimper, White grosgrain ribbon, silver brads

Petal Party Off the Page....

We all know the Simply Scrappin' kits from Stampin' Up! can be used for obviously scrapping, and card making, but also consider their other uses. Here I have made a bundle of very quick Post-It-Note-Holders, using the textured cardstock, and the die-cut stickers from the Petal Party Simply Scrappin' kit. They went like hot cakes at a recent craft fair I had a stall at. Couldn't keep up the demand!

For any Simply Scrappin' kit orders (consider the 'I WISH' kit for your Christmas card, scrapping and decorating needs) simply email or phone me.

Happy crafting!

Prepare Yourself for Christmas - It's Coming!!

The year is whizzing by and we are now looking at only a couple of months until Christmas swings by again! :)

If you would like to make your own cards for that special personal touch for your friends, let me give you a quick catalogue tour to help you in the right direction. Starting now will allow you to enjoy the process instead of feeling the pressure of rushing.

1. STAMPS: In the 09/10 Idea Book & Catalogue (click on the picture in the right hand column), look at pages 26-33 for some great Christmas stamps. Look also in the MINI catalogue on pages 18,19 & 21 for even more stamp set options.

2. CARDSTOCK & PAPER: Stampin' Up!'s cardstock beautifully match each other and whatever embellishments you may choose. Perhaps choose some Designer Series papers, and match your cardstock from that. For example, page 134 of the Main Catalogue has 'Holiday Treasures' Designer Series (DS) paper. This contains the colours Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Ruby Red and Old Olive. OR in the Spring Mini, page 20, the 'Ski Slope' Paper is also beautiful for Christmas cards and projects. Take those colours (Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Real Red & Old Olive) and start coordinating with your cardstock and ink and accessory colours.

3. INK & ACCESSORIES: Find all your inks (and cardstock) on pages 127-130 of the Main Catalogue. Ribbons are on pages 150-151. Try also the wide striped ribbon in the Mini Catalogue (page 21).

Extra bling? Brads (page 148-149 IB&C), Pretties Kit (page 149), Buttons (page 151), Star & Label Punches (pages 152-153), Eyelet Border & Scallop Edge Border Punches (page 153) or the Scallop Oval Punch (Mini p7)

If you don't know where to start or just want a quick 'all-in-one' kit, try the Stampin' Up! 'I WISH' Scrapbooking Kit (page 137) for only $36.95. This is a great tool for Christmas cards as well!

So make your list, give me a call/email, and you'll be well on your way to be feeling organised this Christmas.
