Girls Day Out - More displays of beautiful things!

Mel Board Photography supported our Silent Auction at the Girls Day Out last weekend.
Mel treated us to her display to gaze at all day...such beautiful works of art.
Check out Mel's website:
Here is another display table we assortment of current products and samples.
Check out this LAMP!!
I asked a friend of mine to create a lamp (her specialty craft) using the Stampin' Up! fabrics.
Does this show off our fabrics, or what?! :)
If you too would like a custom made lamp, let me know and I'll pass your details to Liz the Creator of this gorgeous Lampshade.

Girls Day Out: Creative Showcase projects

This year we added a new element to our Girls Day Out day -
a chance for the women attending to showcase their own talents and creations, and be in the draw for prizes.
So it was called 'Creative Showcase' ! :)
As we were fundraising during the day for the Breast Cancer Institute of Australia, we chose the theme of the Creative Showcase to appropriately be 'Pink' :)
We had approximately 30 entries to the Showcase, and some had more than one project entered.
The projects ranged from cards, scrap pages, decorated boxes, framed art and Christmas decorations.
I haven't shown any scrap pages as I didn't ask the girls first permission to publish their photos (privacy)...but they were all fantastic.
Enjoy the next photos of some of the projects on show (I think I must have missed a few!!):
Thanks for looking!

Girls Day Out pics! Centrepieces & Favours

This is now the 3rd year in a row when I with a few of my local team of demonstrators, have put on a big 'all day' craft event.
We call it the 'Girls Day Out'
It is such a fun day.
We chose to use the fabuloso new In Colours for our colour scheme this year.
And got to play with a lot of NEW toys!!
Pick what's a new product here!
hint: it's not the mini milk bottle :)
Another centrepiece
Individual table favours
(before pic - they were loaded with chocolates & lollies for the day)
more of the favours
Bit of a closer close-up :)
I have heaps of pictures to share of the day  - displays, projects we made, and the fantastic projects the women brought for our new table 'Creative Showcase'.
Come back tomorrow for the next installment :)

Lego Blocks card

One of our children's friends had a birthday recently.
I made this Lego card to match the gift contents.
What little boy doesn't like Lego??
(or big boy?!)
I have used a few retired items here (Big Shot letters, poppy parade cardstock & Confetti White cardstock.)
Other colours: Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green (such a cool name!), Pacific Point, Early Espresso.
Sorry for sporadic working on projects for a big event this weekend...
Will come and do 'show and tell' next week for you!!
